The Brand

Jermaine Parker aka Insaine is the head creative designer of the Blakk Hyenaz, based in the Bronx, NY. The Designer was born in Trenchtown, Kingston, and was raised in a Spanish town in St. Catherine, Jamaica. Twenty years ago when he found himself in a deep depression. He found was to express himself by wearing and drawing the word “BLAKK”. It wasn't as simple as drawing, however. It was the expression of "BLAKK" emotion that cannot be left through words themselves. At some point of our lives all of us have been there, and he was bad to the bone.

While his darkest time the support of his Clan was most important to him. Under the name “Blakk Hyenaz “they made a packed that no matter what they ride together, fight together, and die together. “Hyenaz” as animals have an undeserved reputation as thieves and scavengers that subsist on the leavings of the larger predator like the human who is not perfect and not always “good”but the Pack come together and watch the sunset rise and find hope in the darkness and just being surrounded by each other they find hope to survive. Thus, “Blakk Hyenaz “ was born. 

Philosophy

Since it's creation in March 2017, Blakk Hyenaz's philosophy has remained the same as the day it was create. Jermaine had envisioned a brand that would stand for three mentalities: passion, individuality, and self-expression. Each derives from a process of enormous creative freedom, ensuring constant innovation. Blakk Hyenaz is a brand about pain, about hope, and about light in the dark. From Jermaine's perspective, everything you are going through, every struggle, pain, or hardship, is a gift. Essentially, these obstacles demand you to dive deep within yourself and find the gold of who you are.
